Week 39: Puking in the snow

What's up friends + fam! Had a wonderful week this week. We got transfer calls yesterday and I am staying in North with Sister Asay and I could not be more excited!!!! I finally will stay in an area ("lets goOOoo" #iykyk) for more than a transfer and a half haha. We have a bunch of friends on date for March so it will be awesome for both Sister Asay and I to get to be together for them.

Things to know:
- Sad news first - our friend Hope texted us this week and said she can't meet with us for awhile because her husband was upset when he found out about our meetings :((
- On a way happier note, someone I got to teach while I was in Shadle Park for one second got baptized! I am so happy for Chris, he and his wife are so amazing.
- Went on exchanges with Sister Wimmer again and as you can tell by the picture below, it was very swag.
- Made 13 new friends this week because we grinded some potentials when all of our lessons kept falling through, which was litty!
- Got to see my homie Elder Mcghie and say a final goodbye because he leaves to Argentina (for real this time!) #seeya

Stories of the week:
- Super cool story real quick: Sister Asay and I are chilling in Sunday school yesterday and this man walks in telling us someone walked into the church asking for the missionaries. We go to the foyer and meet Trisha, who is a very inactive member, but wanted to talk to us. She opened up about some struggles, and how she isn't ready to come back to church here but this is always the first place she turns to. She asked for a priesthood blessing and so we found Bishop, and the spirit was SO strong when she got the blessing! She also agreed to have her records moved to her correct ward in the Mount Stake. So awesome!
- Haha so yeah we did service for a lady this week who wanted us to build a crib. We built that sucker in like an hour with no instructions (please pray it doesn't break when the child tries to sleep in it), and as we are walking outside Sister Asay says "I'm gonna barf". I thought it was a joke just because the house wasn't very clean, but she was definitely not kidding. My companion literally threw up on the side of the road! She hadn't ate anything all morning and was stressed with transfer calls coming poor thing. We were laughing really hard about it later though because I wanted to help her and in the process almost threw up too. Best part was she covered it with snow to hide it lol.

Spiritual thought:
I've been studying repentance a lot lately and have absolutely loved it! Here is an awesome quote I wanted to share -

“The Atonement was designed to do more than restore us to the ‘starting line’—more than just wipe the slate clean. [Its] crowning purpose [is] to endow us with power so that we might overcome each of our weaknesses and acquire the divine traits that would make us like God.” - Tad R. Callister

I hope each of you can continue to draw power from Christ's Atonement as you strive to become better each day :))

Have a great week! Love ya lots

Week 81: How far away is that plane?

Ahhhh. It's a weird feeling writing your last weekly about your last week as a missionary. I have had so many mixed emotions this week. ...
